Must Have Blog Pages For SEO Juice

  • About (About Us Page)

The about us page of your website or blog, must not be mistaken, to be your personal profile, it is entirely different from Author's or article editor's profile. An “About” page is the sum total of you and your blog. It gives an insight to your readers about who you are, what you do, what your blog is about, and the story behind it. It helps build a trust relationship with readers and help them understand you better. If you are not sure how to create an “About” page or need help, guidelines and tips, you can either take some inspirations, from our About page here, or refer to our detailed post, on how to create about page for your blog.

  • Contact (Contact Us Page)

A contact page serves as the primary contact point for your readers. Even though your readers or potential advertisers can connect with you by other means, it is essential that you have a specific contact page listing the contact options. Generally, having multiple contact options helps; Social Media Connect, Contact Form, Email, and Phone Number are some of the most commonly used connect points.

  • Privacy Policy

Adding a Privacy Policy page on your blog assures your readers that their personal information is protected and secure and indirectly encourages readers to comment on your blog which in turn improves the conversion rate. If you are a blogger who offers email subscription, newsletters, sales, or surveys, this is absolutely essential.

  • Disclaimer (Disclaimer Page)

Does your blog permits guests blogging, or do you intend allowing this feature in the future? Then you need the disclaimer page. This page is use to denounce yourself, from every personal dealings, of your viewers, with all external links shared on your blog site, through guest articles. Although for the sake of the credibility of your blog, you must ensure to moderate all articles shared on your site through guest blogging, and the external links therein.

Optional Pages

  • Disclosure (Disclosure Page)

Do you review third party products on your blog, or perhaps, you could be making some money, when your readers click on those external link you share in your posts? In as much as that is a great marketing strategy, I'll recommend that your visitors, should be told about this. The good news is, if you have a very impacting blog, then be sure, that your visitors are gonna take actions on those websites, as a sign of extending their appreciation, for your efforts and contribution to their life. While most content writers, prefer displaying a disclaimer statement at the beginning of each articles, I'll recommend, you have a separate page for this statement, on your blog. It help improve your SEO juice.

  • Promotional (Promotional Page)

If you have been blogging for a while and are aware of the various promotional methods, you should be aware of this one. This page is dedicated to promote YOU. This page can be same as, "Hire Me" on some blog sites. It is commonly use to promote yourself and what you have to offer to your readers as a blogger; be it products, services, or content. Use the landing pages as a conversion weapon to convert your readers into subscribers.

  • Comment Policy (Comment Policy Page)

This should be easy to understand. If you accepts comments on your blog, (all bloggers should allow comments), then it’s imperative that you prepare a comment policy to inform your readers about the guidelines on writing comments in your blog. For example, your comment policy may state that you will reject comments that are inappropriate or hurt others sentiments. Let your readers know that comments can be edited or deleted accordingly. This allows your readers to understand how, what, and why to comment and how comments are handled.

  • Archives (Archive Page)

If you have a landing page, dedicated to your blog, it might be a little, difficult for your readers to navigate through your posts, in it entirety. This is where the archive page come in. It is like libraries that have tons of books. This page makes it easy for first time readers to reference articles written earlier. Most WordPress and Blogger themes come with a default Archives page although you need to activate it. Ours is located at your right hand side, alongside the popular posts, and comment widgets.

  • Thank You (Appreciation Page)

The stress of coming up with something to write, as well as writing it, is no less than getting your readers to take certain action on your blogs. But what do you say to those, who still interact, and take certain actions on your blog? What do you say to your visitors, or to your faithful reader, who visit your sites daily? How about those contributing to your articles, through comments, or likes? How about folks who click on your ads? How do you pay them? Well, a simple "Thank You" page, can do the magic. Create this page, and redirect all those commenting, or subscribing on your blog to it. Thanking them for their comments, or feedback, or for taking a survey, or for enquiring about your product, will create a good relationship between you, and your readers.

  • Advertise (Ads With Us Page)

Before you jump on creating "ads with us" page on your site, I'll advise you get traffic first. If you don't have traffic, you have no business with this page. The notion behind ads with us, is to tap from possible advertising companies, among your huge traffics.

Conclusions

Although important and necessary, but the creation of these pages, is highly optional, and should be done based on your needs. Like I clearly stated earlier, if you don't have traffics, no need of creating ads with us page, go work for traffic. If you don't make money from third party websites, or you don't even refer visitors to any third party's website at all, then you have no business in creating and writing a disclosure page, and so on. Ensure you create this pages, based on your needs per time, and as your blog grow along. Thanks for reading.... by the way, let me know if I missed anything out.
