You wanna Blog; Are You Really Ready?

You wanna start blogging? Great idea! But are you really ready? Do you have what it takes, to start on the blogging journey? You might wanna ask me:
Do I really need anything to start blogging, aside my computer and my head?
Yes, your computer and your head aren't all you need to start blogging. You could log on to any online hosting provider today, and get your blog live and running in less than 15 minutes. But if you are not able, to accurately provide answers to the three questions below, you could come, running out in less than 15 days.

... So What do You Really Need For This Journey?

Well, I'm not gonna be telling you about computer, or online hosting provider and etc. In fact, nothing external. I'm gonna concentrate on you, you and yourself. And believe me, if you are able to provide accurate answers to this question, then be assured that you blogging journey, will be a really long, and pleasant one.
Please ensure that your answer to this questions, are clear and sure enough, NOT GUESING

Question 1: Why Do You Wanna Blog?

The truth is, there are no right or wrong answer to this question, but believe me, you ability to be able to define a sure, and clear answer to this question, will determine
how far your blogging journey will be.

Why are you blogging? What do you hope to accomplish? Do you want to make money? Do you want to help people? Do you want to make people laugh? Have you got a new idea about something, say; society, politics, your love life, or even your religion, and you want the world to hear you? Your answers to this question might not really be wrong or right, but you need to know why you are doing it.

The good news is, there are many rout to success in blogging, but what will guarantee this success, is your ability to know where you are going. For example, I started Novice Hive because, I wanna help Novice bloggers, like myself. With so many tried and failed blogs, I think I've got a lot, to say to starters like myself, who really wanna learn blogging, but with a more modest and less technical blogging language to deal with. So you see, I know what to write on Hive; only blogging related stuffs, that will help starters. So defining where you wanna go, will go a long way in determining how fast, and easy it will take you to get there.

Question 2: What’s Your Niche?

Yet another technical blogging term right? Don't worry, I will explain! What does Niche means? A Niche is a Particular, Specific segment of a market (say blogging), you are blogging about. You see, the "blogosphere" is a very wide industry, that no single blogger, or company of bloggers can satisfy. For example, your answer to our first question, might be helping people, or writing about new ideas.

Taking 'helping people' for instance, who do you want to help? children, youths or adults? Say adult, then, helping adults about what? How to deal with aging, wrinkles, dieting, or what?
Everyone needs an angle, pure and simple. You can’t be all things to all people and you shouldn’t try. You will fail.
You can only succeed if you can identify a portion of the market that is being underserved. But the truth is, hardly will find any segment, or any blogging niche, that somebody is not already serving, but what will guarantee your success, and set you apart, is your ability to provide accurate answer to the first question, and if you really did, the second question shouldn't be anything difficult.

Question 3: How About Setting Yourself And Your Blog Apart?

So, you know why you’re blogging, you know what your niche is, then what? How do you intend getting that audience you are looking for? The truth is; whatever your niche might be, probably, some bloggers, elsewhere, under the Sun, are already serving it! You wanna talk about politics?, somebody is already there. Or gaining or losing weight, or perhaps, you've got some crazy ideas about Theology? Believe me, someone is already there. There are pretty new ideas this days; except if you wanna go beyond the sphere of planet earth, and even so, remember, some have gone to the moon already, so it better be real planet. Anyway, here's the point:
don't think you can satisfy a market that is neither hungry of your products, or perhaps, already satisfied by someone else's offering!
So if you must stand out, aim to offer your products, (perhaps already offered by thousands of bloggers), but in a unique way, clearly differentiated from theirs. Take for instance, there are so many bloggers out there, blogging on how to loss weight quickly, but few does this with humor. So if you wanna Blog about how to loss weight, you could add some humorous ideas in your article, and trust me, your readers will enjoy visiting your site, and not just that, they will enjoy reading you weight losing tips, of 1,000 to 2,000 words, without exiting your site in seconds. You could also introduce some romantic tips (not adult content), along your weight losing tips, and trust me, you'll be pulling some reasonable audience from some Pro bloggers out there.

Once you have the answers to these three questions, you’re good to go. Although these answers could change over time, and if they do, be sure you know why they are changing, and where the new direction is going.

My Recommendation For You

As you go along your blogging adventure, try and personify your blogging life.
This is what I mean; set both short term and long term goals, and try to be considerate in your goal setting. As a new blogger, your short term goal could be a thousand page views per day, a goal you'll reach in no time, especially if you are consistent in your blogging, and always keeping things unique. But the question now is, after the 1,000 page views per day, what next? This is where your long term goals comes in. I'm sure, you wouldn't want to be at just 33,000 page views per month, would you?

As your short term and long term goals changes, try and be introducing something new along the road. I will recommend, as a starter, that you shouldn't worry much about getting it right on a single try. I've owned few website that ended at nothing. You might fail at some point, (even the pro bloggers did), but they never gave up. So do not aim at being right, or perfect, but ensure you improve over your mistakes when they occur.
